Every child deserves to carry their belongings with dignity. Through our Buddie Bag Program, Bags For Buddies provides bags and essential items to children and teens navigating foster care, helping replace uncertainty with comfort, confidence, and a sense of ownership.
Because No Child's Belongings Belong in a Trash Bag.
For many children entering or transitioning through foster care, moving means leaving behind familiar surroundings, routines, and sometimes the comfort of home. Too often, their personal belongings are transported in trash bags.
At Bags For Buddies, we believe every child deserves something better. The Buddie Bag Program was created to provide a more dignified way for children to carry their belongings, while reminding them that they are valued, supported, and never forgotten.
A Bag That Carries More Than Belongings
Our program supports children and teens through donations of bags and other essentials. Depending on age, needs, and available resources, support may include:
